There’s no one reason for a move, but all moves have in common an initial sense of disorientation, whether it’s “which way is the bathroom?” in the middle of the night, or where to shop. These are easy to quickly figure out.
Harder are problems about finding people you feel comfortable hanging out with or doing things with. People with interests that complement your own. People both at your particular stage of life, or different ones. Are you moving to a new town, a new house, downsizing, heading to a retirement community… All moves carry challenges, and if you’re not feeling up to managing them on your own, having a safe place to talk them over and solve these issues can be welcome. Go for it! Give talking a try.
